BackTrack is a distribution based on the Debian GNU/Linux distribution aimed at digital forensics and penetration testing use. It was named after backtracking, a search algorithm.
BackTrack provides users with easy access to a comprehensive and large collection of security-related tools ranging from port scanners to Security Audit. Support for Live CD and Live USB functionality allows users to boot BackTrack directly from portable media without requiring installation, though permanent installation to hard disk and network is also an option.
BackTrack includes many well known security tools.
today most of the security researchers and ethical hackers use backtrack for penteration. it is mostly favoured for its simplicity and efficiency. backtrack comes in different version including a arm version also.
the android smartphones we use also have arm processors so we can easily install backtrack on your android phone. the best thing is that installing backtrack on your android phone does not effect the old android operating system.
now follow the steps given below to install backtrack on your android smart phone.
STEPS:
- first of all download winrar zip file extractor if you have already installed skip this step.
- now you have to download the Backtrack operating system.
- after downloading that file BT5-GNOME-ARM.7Z you need to extract it.
- now open the extracted folder and extract bt5.img.gz file present in that folder.
- now you need to transfer all the extracted files in folder name it is bt5 in your memory card.
- now download busybox android application from playstore it needs rooted phone to work make sure your phone is rooted.
- after this download terminal emulator and android vnc android application from playstore and install it.
- now open terminal monitor application and enter these commands.
cd/sdcard/BT5 and press enter.
sh bootbt and press enter.
tightvncserver –geometry 1280x800 and then press enter.
export USER=root and press enter.
vncpasswd and press enter then create a new password.
- now open android vnc application and enter the password you created in the above step.
- then enter port as (5901 or 5902 or 5903 so on) in android vnc. sometimes when we enter a port number it show us connection error because that port is being used by another application, so we have to try a series of ports starting from 5901, if not work then 5902, and so on until we get a working port.
- After this click on “Connect” button on android vnc. now you will reach in backtrack gui mode.
